A Cornish Evening Maternity Session
Really excited to share this story and to add a something different to my work. I first met Laura a few years ago at the very first wedding I ever photographed, hers! I was second shooting at the time and having the opportunity to be there on her and David’s special day was incredible. And as the years have gone on, and their family is starting to grow, I felt absolutely honoured when she reached out to me not too long ago when she wanted to have some maternity photos captured. Laura is also a talented photographer specialising in families and maternity. So this really was an honour! This cornish evening maternity session was so dreamy and beautiful. Laura spoke about the importance of nature, having a connection to it and seeing its value. She wanted to bring that into her new baby’s world, so it made sense to head down the coast and enjoy an evening amongst the reeds and changing tides, which I think was quite symbolic in this poignant change in life. Laura braved a dip in the temperatures and was just as adventurous as I remembered! One would think this was in summer, it was not! I really look forward to the next time I am able to photograph the early stages of motherhood. This session really allowed me to experience a different tune to my photography and has inspired me in many new ways. Thank you so much, still in awe of her… and her.
