There is no secret that I am in love with all things Italian, mainly the wine and food, but Italy is one of those magical places. Puglia is somewhere I hadn’t heard of before as its quite easy to get caught up in the more popular destinations such as Venice, Rome and Tuscany, and these are all beautiful places for their own reasons. So when the opportunity came about to accompany James Frost to photograph Ink and Jun’s Puglia Wedding, I couldn’t say no. Ink and Jun decided to have their wedding at the stunning Masseria de torre Coccaro, a rustic fortified farm estate, surrounded by fields of olive trees. Ink prepared for her day in a beautiful private garden suite with her closest friends and family. Her dress was a striking design by Hermoine De Paula. As her friends helped her into her gorgeous gown, Jun was preparing on the other side of the rustic property, looking forward to soon seeing his bride. Their wedding had a relaxed vibe, with stylish guests having flown from all over, as far as Bangkok and as near as London, where Ink and Jun live. Their ceremony was incredibly romantic, under ancient olive trees, covered with lights, ribbons and a beautiful floral arch. All the details were immaculate and thoughtful. Jun is a reknowned chef – so of course food played an important part in their day and guests enjoyed a plethora of local, seasonal dishes. Trellaces of olive branches hung over beautiful long tables aforded with foliage and lemons. It was all so absolutely beautiful!
Reflecting back on their wedding, it was obvious the deep love that Ink and Jun had for one another. You can’t help but be drawn to that sort of conenction. I remember this day being filled with nothing but love and relaxation. Maybe it was the love that surrounded Ink and Jun and all their friends and family, maybe it was the heat and that certain something amazing in the italian air, but its certainly not a wedding I can forget.
