Wedding in Mykonos, Greece | Alissa + Jerry
Alissa and Jerry had originally planned out and entire wedding in New York City, where they live, only to feel it not be exactly what they wanted. The two lively spirits set their sights on a Wedding in Mykonos, Greece. They chose a beautiful boho wedding vibe to their day and they wanted it to be nothing but fun, good times and celebration. So they scrapped their NYC plans and set forth in motion a day that would be unforgettable to all.
The day started with Alissa getting ready at a stunning villa located in the hills of northern Mykonos. Jerry and Alissa opted for a first look before we headed into the hills for some portraits. One of my favourite moments was witnessing the Ketubah signing that took place just before the ceremony. This was my first Jewish wedding to have the honour to attend, so I found this moment to be very special. The Rabbi, who flew in from Israel for their day, spoke poignantly and with promise. The ceremony overlooked Agios Ioannis beach, located on the West coast of Mykonos. The sun starting to lower in the sky made for a beautiful and warm element to their ceremony. As their closet friends and family looked on, Alissa and Jerry’s meaningful ceremony took place. Celebrations ensued in typical Jewish fashion and I was left with a permanent smile on my face that didn’t go unnoticed by guests as I watched it all unfold. It was certainly a party.
It was an absolute honour to be a part of this special day. The weather was hot, the landscape was beautiful and the connection between all their friends and family was memorable. They both have such a magical energy about them, and it was truly amazing to be immersed in the laughter, love and fun that fuelled the day. Plus, these guys could dance!!!
